about

"Vital for modern art and music" (Stanley Donwood - artist, Radiohead)

"It feels like the totality is talking" (FIS - Tri Angle, Subtext, Loopy)

“PATTERN MAN is one of the finest mixtures of spirit and process I’ve
heard in recent times. Economy and the freedom of experimentation
are two qualities that both Rick Holland and Chrononautz harness
independent of each other, so together this combination is powerful” (William Doyle, East India Youth)

Three and three quarter decades in the making.
Pattern Man is a collection of the writing of Rick Holland.

Enlisting the expertise of Chrononautz, The Print Project, Footprint Workers Co-op and Roger Grech.

Please note, this is a purchase of the music/poetry collaboration between Rick Holland and Chrononautz as Pattern Man. To purchase the Pattern Man poetry book (Rick Holland, The Print Project, Footprint Workers Co-op and Roger Grech) or Pattern Man poster (The Print Project), please see webstore links in our profile.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The words were recorded improvised in one take on a dictaphone in Rick Holland's bathroom from the notes taken after joining Chrononautz for a few jams, whilst high on a cocktail of medicinal drugs curing him of a potentially life-threatening parasite that had been living inside him for five years (he's fine now by the way).

All music written, performed, recorded, produced and mastered by Chrononautz.

"Chrononautz is a unique human freak out of imaginative horizon and together I think we crystallise a whole life choice, that's how it felt making the record. 'Pattern Man' has been a buttoned up spiritual being, rushing around in the old world, and he sets foot in a land of freedom in this record. For me personally, it represents a time to well and truly release the shackles. Escape the patternmania, smile, cry, dance, meditate, communicate, live by positive mindsets, love, transcend fear and give up the outmoded notions that we are consistent individual entities. Others might call that a mid-life crisis, but it feels good. Personal revolutions." - Rick Holland on Pattern Man
